Lattice Semiconductor has introduced a new AI-powered development tool called Radiant, designed to streamline the FPGA design process. The tool utilizes the company's verified documentation and knowledge base to allow developers to use natural language throughout their workflow. According to the company, this integration can increase productivity by up to 10 times for standard design tasks.

The Radiant tool features deep integration with existing Lattice design software and supports the MCP open protocol. This allows developers to connect the platform with their current AI tools seamlessly. The release aims to simplify complex design cycles by leveraging generative AI capabilities tailored specifically for FPGA development environments.

Additionally, Lattice launched the Mach-N2 series, a new line of secure control FPGAs. These chips are designed for modern infrastructure and include integrated flash memory. A key feature of the Mach-N2 series is its support for post-quantum cryptography that complies with CNSA 2.0 standards, ensuring long-term security and agility for system designers.
