Larridin Inc., a startup specializing in AI adoption measurement, has secured $30 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Pelion Ventures, with participation from existing backers Andreessen Horowitz and Gradient Ventures, alongside new investors including GFT, W23, Thayer, DG Daiwa Ventures, Cougar Capital, and Alumni Ventures. This latest round brings the company's total funding to $47 million.

The company provides a platform designed to measure the business value of AI investments by linking adoption data with employee productivity metrics and expenditure. Larridin aims to help enterprises identify inefficiencies, such as cases where AI tools create downstream bottlenecks or show significant cost discrepancies. For example, the platform identified a 66-fold cost difference between two AI coding tools used for similar tasks.

Larridin’s research, based on a survey of over 1,000 developers, indicates that while AI-assisted pull requests grew from 35% in April to 62% in September, median code review wait times increased by more than 50% during the same period. The startup plans to use the new capital to expand its engineering and go-to-market teams.

The startup's current client list includes enterprises such as SurveyMonkey, Vertiv Holdings, Klaviyo, and Gainsight. Larridin co-founder and CEO Russ Fradin stated that the funding reflects the need for organizations to prove tangible business value from their AI spending, moving beyond vanity metrics like login counts.
