MTS reported a significant rise in infrastructure spending within the Kursk region during the first nine months of 2026. Large enterprises increased their investments in fixed network construction by 45% compared to the same period in 2025.

The manufacturing, retail, and agricultural sectors drove this growth, accounting for over 70% of all new connections. Small and medium-sized businesses also expanded their digital capabilities, with a 33% increase in new wired internet connections since the start of 2026.

Local companies predominantly opt for connection speeds ranging from 100 to 300 Mbps. This bandwidth supports critical operations, including cloud service integration, data protection, video analytics platforms, and customer management systems.

According to Semyon Rozenberg, director of the MTS Kursk branch, these investments serve as a foundation for future scaling. Businesses are building IT architectures to support industrial IoT, logistics automation, and telemetry systems.
