Kia has confirmed that the PV5 Chassis will be sold in the UK exclusively with a 71.2 kWh battery. This configuration is designed for commercial operators who manage longer routes or have limited access to charging infrastructure.
The vehicle features a 120 kW electric motor and supports DC fast charging up to 150 kW. According to the manufacturer, charging from 10 to 80 percent takes approximately 30 minutes, while a full charge using an 11 kW AC supply requires about six and a half hours.
Built on the E-GMP.S architecture, the model measures under five meters in length and offers a 5.5-meter turning radius. While other European markets receive both 51.5 kWh and 71.2 kWh battery options, the UK market is restricted to the larger capacity version.
The PV5 Chassis is designed for specialized conversions. Kia’s partner, TSG Automotive Group, is developing tipper, dropside, and box-body options scheduled for a Q4 2026 launch. The wider PV5 range saw 13,116 registrations in Europe during the first half of 2026.
