The third-generation BYD Qin PLUS has been spotted in real-world images, following its official reveal and regulatory filing with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The vehicle is scheduled for a market launch in late October.
According to official filings, the Qin PLUS EV is a pure electric sedan measuring 4,840 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,498 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. Lu Tian, general manager of the BYD Dynasty sales division, noted that the new model features increased dimensions and interior space.
The powertrain consists of a permanent magnet synchronous motor, model TZ164XYD, produced by Fuzhou BYD Industrial. It delivers a peak power of 100 kW and a rated power of 40 kW. The vehicle utilizes a lithium iron phosphate battery, with cells and assemblies manufactured by Guiyang FinDreams Battery and Xiangyang FinDreams Battery, respectively.
