Kia India has established a partnership with the charging network operator Jio-bp to expand the charging infrastructure available to its electric vehicle owners. Through this agreement, the K-Charge platform within the MyKia application now provides access to more than 7000 additional charging points managed by Jio-bp, which are distributed across over 1100 locations in more than 300 cities.
The integration allows Kia drivers to use the MyKia app to find charging stations, plan routes, manage charging sessions, and process payments. This expansion brings the total number of charging points accessible via K-Charge to over 23 500. Jio-bp operates a network featuring DC fast chargers with power ratings ranging from 60 kW to 480 kW, maintaining an uptime of 96 percent.
The partnership is reciprocal, as Kia will integrate 125 of its existing DC fast chargers into the Jio-bp pulse application, with plans to include future charging units as well. While the companies have not provided a specific timeline for the full integration, this move follows Kia India's previous collaboration in February with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, which added over 3000 points to the K-Charge network.
