JPMorgan analysts project that Tesla could generate $320 billion in robotaxi revenue by 2035. The bank expects this income to come primarily from a company-owned fleet rather than a peer-to-peer network of private vehicles.

In June 2026, JPMorgan upgraded Tesla stock from underweight to neutral, raising the price target from $145 to $475 per share. The bank forecasts total company revenue to reach approximately $203 billion by 2030, driven by robotaxi operations and the Optimus humanoid robot program.

Tesla launched its autonomous ride-hailing service in Austin in June 2025, later expanding to Dallas, Houston, and the Bay Area. The company is currently prioritizing its Cybercab platform over the use of existing Model Y vehicles for the service.

The Full Self-Driving software stack has collected approximately 10 billion miles of data from a global fleet of about 9 million vehicles. Tesla faces competition from Waymo, Zoox, Baidu’s Apollo Go, and Pony.ai, alongside regulatory and safety validation challenges.
