Jeep has initiated a recall for 201,976 vehicles in the United States due to a software defect in the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The glitch prevents the system from detecting low tire pressure or displaying the corresponding warning light to the driver.
The affected models include the 2024–2025 Wagoneer, 2024–2026 Grand Cherokee, 2024–2026 Grand Cherokee L, 2024–2026 Grand Cherokee PHEV, and 2024–2026 Grand Wagoneer. Additional units of the Grand Cherokee L, Wagoneer L, Cherokee, and Grand Wagoneer L PHEV are also included.
This technical failure results in non-compliance with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 138. Jeep will begin notifying owners of the affected vehicles on September 29, 2026.
Dealers have received instructions to perform a free software update to resolve the issue. Owners can visit service centers to have the TPMS software corrected at no cost.
