An enthusiast known as You Say You Like It Is Pretending has released a test package for the Redmi K20 Pro that enables the installation of Apple iOS 16.5. The project supports a dual-boot configuration, allowing users to keep their original Android data intact.

The installation process requires wiping existing Android data and creating a new partition. The tool temporarily replaces TWRP Recovery, though a dedicated script is provided to revert the device to its original state. Users can switch between operating systems via a Magisk module or a specific hardware button combination.

The software is currently in beta, and developers warn of potential instability and limited functionality. The modification carries a risk of bricking the device, with all responsibility falling on the user. Similar projects have emerged previously, including a report of iOS 17 running on a Redmi K90 Pro Max.
