Intel is preparing an update to its LGA-1700 desktop processor lineup under the Raptor Lake Next brand. These chips aim to support systems utilizing DDR4 memory, as the newer Core Ultra Arrow Lake series lacks this compatibility.
Shipping manifests have revealed four distinct SKUs, identified by the codes 99DLMV, 99DLMT, 99DLMW, and 99DLMX. The appearance of these identifiers in logistics data suggests that Intel is distributing samples, indicating that an official market release may be approaching.
The 99DLMV model features a 16-core configuration comprising 8 P-Cores and 8 E-Cores. It operates at a clock speed of 3.5 GHz, includes 30 MB of cache, and carries a TDP rating of 125 W. This chip is expected to serve as a successor to the Core i5-14600K.
The 99DLMT variant is a 20-core processor with 8 P-Cores and 12 E-Cores. This model runs at a base clock speed of 2.1 GHz, offers 33 MB of cache, and has a lower TDP of 65 W. These specifications align with recent industry rumors regarding the upcoming refresh.
