Nvidia has reportedly stopped accepting new orders for the Blackwell GB202 graphics processors and 32 GB GDDR7 memory kits required to manufacture GeForce RTX 5090 video cards. This information was shared by German tech blogger Roman Hartung, known as der8auer, citing an unnamed AIB partner.

Previously, manufacturers could place additional orders even if immediate shipment was not possible, but this option is no longer available. While Nvidia denies discontinuing the flagship model and claims it will continue supplies despite limited production capacity, the exact timeline for resuming order intake remains unknown.

Evidence of production cuts is also visible among cooling system suppliers. One supplier reported that two Nvidia partners have significantly reduced their projected orders for RTX 5090 coolers for the first quarter of 2027 compared to the third quarter of 2026. Furthermore, no orders for these cooling systems have been placed for the second quarter of 2027.
