Intel has officially disclosed initial details regarding its upcoming Razor Lake processor series. The company currently schedules the release of these chips for 2028, positioning them as the successor to the Nova Lake lineup.
A senior executive at Intel highlighted the Razor Lake-AX variant, noting a target performance level of 700 TOPS. This specific performance metric is expected to be achieved through the integration of a powerful graphics core, intended to compete with AMD Ryzen AI Max processors.
While technical details remain limited, reports suggest that the Razor Lake-AX chips may share architectural foundations with the Nova Lake family. Intel reportedly shifted its development strategy, moving the AX-series release from the Nova Lake timeline to the Razor Lake generation.
The company is primarily targeting the humanoid robotics market with these new processors. Although the executive emphasized their application in robotics, the chips could potentially be deployed across other computing segments in the future.
