Intel, Oracle, IBM, and IonQ have officially filed objections against the trading of their shares on the OKX-ICE Tokenized Stock Venue (TSV). This platform is a joint venture between Intercontinental Exchange and OKX’s U.S. holding company. The total number of companies objecting to the platform has reached 26, rising from 22 on October 23 and 16 on October 19.
The list of objectors includes major technology and financial firms such as Microsoft, Alphabet, Qualcomm, Arm, Cisco, Goldman Sachs, and Wells Fargo. The venue intends to enable 24/7 trading of tokenized U.S. stocks via permissioned Uniswap v4 liquidity pools on the XLayer blockchain. Participants must pass identity checks and hold a non-transferable soulbound token.
The platform operates under an SEC innovation exemption. The public notice warns of significant risks, noting that if a third-party broker-dealer fails, it is unclear if tokenized shares in self-custodied wallets qualify as customer property or receive protection from the Securities Investor Protection Corporation. Trades require full funding without margin, and liquidity providers may withdraw at any time.
