Binance launched its bStocks platform for tokenized US equities and ETFs on June 11, 2026. By mid-October, the platform reached between $1 billion and $1.2 billion in assets under management. This represents an estimated 37–42% share of the total tokenized equities market, which is valued at $3–4 billion.
The platform's catalog expanded from five initial assets to nearly 100 by mid-October. Cumulative trading volume on bStocks has exceeded $40 billion, with significant activity occurring outside traditional market hours. Additionally, cumulative 1:1 conversions between tokens and underlying assets surpassed $6 billion by mid-October.
Thomas Chen, who became Chief Business Officer at BNB Chain on September 28, 2026, discussed these results at TOKEN2049 in Singapore on October 8. He characterized the current state of tokenization as the beginning of a long-term development phase, emphasizing that future success depends on distribution and real utility rather than speculative trading.
