An industrial engineer has developed a home automation system by integrating industrial hardware with consumer-grade technology. The project uses an OVEN PR200 controller for critical infrastructure, such as water leak protection, which operates independently of the server software to ensure reliability.

The system's comfort layer relies on an Orange Pi board and a Zigbee-USB coordinator. Data from the PR200 is transmitted via Modbus RTU and converted to Modbus TCP using an Elphin EW11 gateway. This allows the controller to communicate over Wi-Fi with the local network.

The software stack includes Mosquitto as an MQTT broker, Zigbee2MQTT for sensor data, and Node-RED for logic configuration. To enable remote access without a static IP, the system uses the public Clusterfly MQTT broker, which mirrors local data topics.

The developer created a custom mobile application using the Flutter framework, assisted by AI tools integrated into VS Code. The app allows for real-time monitoring of pressure and temperature sensors, remote control of water valves, and management of MQTT topic configurations.
