The aish AI agent for the SELECTOS terminal, starting from version 0.3, supports the integration of custom large language models. Users can connect models that are hosted locally or provided by third-party services, provided they support OpenAI Chat Completions API and Tool Calling.
Integration can be performed via the terminal user interface (TUI) or by editing the configuration file located at /root/.local/share/aish/llm_registry.json. The TUI allows users to add providers and models by specifying the provider name, URL, and API key, while deletion of providers currently requires manual file editing.
For demonstration, the developers suggest using the GLM-5.2 model via the Selectel AI-router. This service provides unified access to over 400 generative models, eliminating the need for individual vendor contracts or currency-based payments for each integration.
