Instinct, known legally as Spear Street Technology Inc., has secured $1 billion in a Series C funding round. This investment brings the company’s total valuation to $10 billion. The round included participation from Sequoia Capital, Benchmark Capital, and Coatue.
The new funding follows a previous round held just one month prior, where the company raised $250 million at a valuation of $2.5 billion. That earlier round was co-led by Index Ventures and Benchmark.
The startup is currently in early access with its personal AI assistant. The tool is designed to perform autonomous tasks such as trip planning, grocery ordering, and subscription management. It operates by interacting with apps and websites similarly to a human user.
The company has recently introduced a concierge feature capable of handling phone-based tasks, including restaurant reservations and medical appointments. Additionally, the assistant supports a trust network that allows users to coordinate schedules and share files with contacts.
Instinct operates within a competitive landscape that includes approximately a dozen major AI agent platforms. Its rivals range from startups like Wajo, Ollie, and Poke to established offerings such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Apple’s Siri, and Meta’s Muse.
