San Francisco-based startup Instinct has secured $1 billion in a Series C funding round. The transaction, finalized on September 28, 2026, brings the company's post-money valuation to $10 billion.
The round was led by Sequoia Capital, Benchmark Capital, and Coatue. This investment follows a previous funding round just weeks earlier, which valued the company at $2.5 billion, marking a fourfold increase in valuation.
Instinct develops AI agents designed to perform personal tasks via SMS and text messages. The software operates autonomously, handling multi-step processes such as making bookings and placing phone calls without requiring manual approval for every action.
The company launched one year prior to this funding announcement and introduced an invite-only consumer service in August 2026. The new capital is intended to support engineering, infrastructure development, and product scaling.
