Stockholm-based legal AI startup Legora AB has secured $550 million in a Series E funding round. This investment brings the company's post-money valuation to $8.8 billion. The round was led by Atreides Management, with participation from new investors including Baron Capital, Capital Group, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Glade Brook Capital Partners, and J.P. Morgan.
Existing investors, including Accel, Benchmark, Bessemer Venture Partners, General Catalyst, ICONIQ, Insight Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, and Sands Capital, also participated. This latest round follows a $550 million Series D in March, bringing the company's total funding to $866 million across eight rounds.
Legora reports that its annual recurring revenue (ARR) currently exceeds $200 million. The company grew its ARR from $1 million to $100 million in under 18 months, with the subsequent $100 million in growth achieved in less than six months. Founded in 2023, the startup launched its platform in October 2024.
The company employs over 1,000 people across 18 offices and supports more than 140,000 legal professionals at over 2,400 organizations across 80 markets. In the third quarter, in-house legal teams accounted for 40% of new customers. In the U.S., more than half of AmLaw 50 firms use the platform.
Legora plans to use the new capital to support global expansion, particularly in North America, where it maintains offices in New York, Denver, Chicago, Houston, San Francisco, Toronto, and Mexico City. Funds will also be directed toward developing its agentic AI legal operating system, aOS.
