London-based venture builder Improbable has launched its third product out of stealth, an AI-native business messaging platform called Bolter. The company is backing the project with $10 million in seed funding. Improbable, founded in 2012, previously raised $500 million from SoftBank in 2017 and shifted its business model toward venture building in 2023.

Bolter allows non-technical users to automate business processes by providing instructions in plain text. The platform uses AI agents that plan, debate, and delegate tasks among themselves based on user goals. The system is AI model-neutral, meaning it routes requests to the most suitable model for each specific task. The team behind the product currently consists of seven people.

The platform originated as a personal project coded by Improbable CEO Herman Narula. With this launch, the company aims to establish a European-based messaging platform to compete with major US tech firms. Bolter joins Improbable’s previous venture-built products, which include the blockchain-focused Somnia and the AI-based Kallikor.
