The Huawei Mate 90 smartphone has been officially unveiled, with prices starting at ¥5,999. The device is available in four color options: Lattice Green, Lattice Pink, Zero White, and Obsidian Black. It features a 6.75-inch flat display and meets IP68 and IP69 standards for dust and water resistance, including protection against high-temperature and high-pressure water jets.

The handset is powered by the Kirin 9030 flagship chipset. Compared to the previous Kirin 9020, the new processor delivers a 13% increase in CPU performance, a 54% boost in GPU performance, and a 13% improvement in NPU capabilities, resulting in a 27% total system performance gain. The chip includes an MSP security processor that supports post-quantum cryptographic algorithms.

The camera system consists of a 50-megapixel main sensor with a 1/1.56-inch RYYB array, OIS, and a variable aperture ranging from F1.4 to F4.0. The 50-megapixel telephoto lens also features RYYB, OIS, 4x optical zoom, and 8x optical-quality zoom. The device supports a dedicated live streaming mode with automated network acceleration and intelligent subject recognition.

Running on HarmonyOS 7, the Mate 90 introduces several AI-driven features, including Xiaoyi note-taking, trigger-based AI, and an application assistant. The device also supports the Hongmeng Galaxy interconnection system, which enables remote sharing and cross-system connectivity for users.
