Huawei has officially detailed the feature differentiation across the various versions of its Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving solution. The company confirmed that the Max version exclusively includes advanced capabilities such as Road Cruise Assist (RCA) and end-to-end parking navigation.
The ADS 5 system, which was officially unveiled on April 23, introduces the WEWA 2.0 AI architecture. This framework utilizes multi-agent game theory and online reinforcement learning in the cloud. On the vehicle side, it employs safety risk field technology for real-time assessment and a Driving Agent module for strategy optimization.
Huawei clarified that users can upgrade from the ADS 4 Max, Pro, or SE versions to the corresponding ADS 5 tiers without encountering any hardware limitations. This ensures that the transition to the updated software suite remains accessible for existing compatible vehicle configurations.
