Rivian is launching a beta testing program for its advanced driver assistance system, Point to Point. The company is inviting select owners to test the Level 2++ technology, which the manufacturer describes as capable of hands-off and eyes-off driving.
Participants in the program are required to use the self-driving features weekly and report any issues. Testers must also complete monthly surveys and may be asked to join focus groups or interviews. The system requires users to enable data collection from vehicle cameras, excluding raw footage.
Rivian will review participant eligibility every 30 days to ensure safe driving and compliance with program obligations. The company reserves the right to remove users who fail to meet these standards.
The Point to Point system is designed to provide autonomous navigation between specific addresses. Rivian plans to deploy this technology across its customer fleet starting next year, with the goal of achieving a Level 4 autonomous system by 2028.
