Huawei has released the HarmonyOS 7.0.0.111 SP16 update for the MatePad Mini tablet. The update package is approximately 657.43 MB in size and introduces new communication sharing capabilities.

The update enables mutual communication sharing between devices running HarmonyOS 7, including phones, tablets, and computers. Users can establish a shared network by tapping devices together or logging into the same account, which improves stability in areas with weak signals or high network load.

The feature allows tablets to access a phone's dual-SIM calling, SMS, and data capabilities, including eSIM support. When a phone switches between dual-SIM networks, the tablet automatically follows the change. Phone-to-phone sharing is limited to network data capabilities only.

To use the feature, both the sharing and receiving devices must run HarmonyOS 7 or higher. A single device can provide network access to up to three other devices or connect to the networks of three devices simultaneously. The system utilizes Huawei Cloud for enhanced acceleration.
