Huawei is set to launch the Mate 90 series in China on September 29. The flagship Mate 90 Pro Max Collector’s Edition will feature a specialized external camera module, the Huawei Ruiying Z10. This accessory includes a 1-inch sensor and a physical focal length of 9.1–91 mm, providing a 24–240 mm equivalent range with 10x optical zoom.

The Ruiying Z10 module incorporates the Red Maple optical system and a variable aperture lens ranging from f/2.0 to f/4.5. It also utilizes a motorized PZ mechanism, functioning as a standalone photography component to extend the smartphone's imaging capabilities.

The smartphone itself is expected to house a 200-megapixel periscope camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and a 50-megapixel main camera with a similar sensor size, variable aperture, and infrared anti-glare coating.

Technical specifications for the Mate 90 Pro Max include the Kirin 9050 Pro processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a 6800 mAh battery supporting 100 W charging. The device will feature a 1.5K OLED display with LTPO technology and a refresh rate ranging from 1 Hz to 144 Hz.
