Huawei introduced a new chip technology based on the Tau scaling law to enhance mobile network efficiency. The announcement took place at the Decoding China 2026 event, where the company outlined its focus on universal user experience, minimalist design, and spectral efficiency.

Fan Xiang, Vice President of Huawei, explained that the Tau scaling law is integrated into the architecture of wireless base stations. This implementation, utilizing OSCAR technology, enables optimal dynamic resource scheduling across the entire network to mitigate bandwidth limitations caused by interference.

The company also developed high-speed connectors and a low-latency bus to create an interconnect structure for real-time data exchange. Additionally, Huawei released the new UBPPi series, which reportedly delivers a 40 percent reduction in energy consumption compared to previous solutions.

Looking ahead, Huawei plans to continue its dual-engine innovation strategy. The company intends to collaborate with global partners to drive further advancements in wireless network technologies and infrastructure capabilities.
