StorageReview has released a preview of the HP ZBook Ultra G3a 16, the first laptop powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor. The device is scheduled for release in October, though pricing details remain undisclosed.

The laptop features 192 GB of RAM, which is soldered directly around the processor, preventing any future upgrades. This capacity exceeds the 128 GB limit found in the Ryzen AI 300 series. Additionally, the system allows allocating up to 160 GB of memory for GPU tasks.

HP has increased the processor power limit to 100 W, which is significantly higher than standard laptop configurations. To manage the thermal output, the internal design includes two cooling fans and a large heat spreader plate covering both the CPU and memory chips.

The device is equipped with a 96 Wh battery. While the underlying architecture of the new AMD processor line remains similar to previous generations, the combination of a higher power limit and expanded memory support is intended to improve performance for AI-related workloads.
