Horizon Robotics has integrated its HSD advanced driver-assistance system and high-performance chips into BYD's Eye of the God B solution. This move marks an expansion of their partnership, as Horizon previously supplied only chips for the C-tier solution.

The new B-tier configuration will feature Horizon's high-compute chips alongside the HSD software stack. While BYD continues to utilize chips from other suppliers, including NVIDIA, industry reports suggest that NVIDIA's share within these systems is expected to decrease over time.

Horizon's HSD is an end-to-end urban driving system built on the Journey 6P chip, which offers 560 TOPS of computing power. The company's CEO, Yu Kai, has described this business model as a Wintel-style approach, combining hardware sales with software revenue and future subscription services.

The first vehicle model equipped with the new Horizon-powered Eye of the God B solution is scheduled for release in November. Horizon has already secured partnerships with 10 automotive brands, covering more than 20 vehicle models for its HSD technology.
