Amsterdam-based cybersecurity startup Hadrian has secured $40 million in a funding round co-led by Forgepoint Capital International and SmartFin. Existing investors, including HV Capital, Motive Partners, Picus Capital, and Oetker Ventures, also participated. This latest injection of capital brings the company's total funding to $65 million.
The company intends to utilize the new funds to scale its operations across the United States and the EMEA region. Additionally, Hadrian plans to increase its investment in engineering and research to further develop its agentic AI platform. The platform includes the Atlas product for external attack surface mapping and Nova for on-demand penetration testing.
Hadrian aims to address the challenge posed by AI-driven cyberattacks, which automate reconnaissance and vulnerability discovery. According to the company's 2026 Offensive Security Benchmark Report, 87% of organizations still rely on manual penetration testing. Hadrian claims that only 0.47% of findings from traditional scanners are genuinely exploitable.
The startup reports that its customers have achieved 10 times greater visibility into critical exposures and an 80% reduction in time to resolution. Furthermore, the company cites a five times return on investment compared to manual testing methods. These figures are based on internal data and have not been independently verified.
Founded by Rogier Fischer, Olivier Beg, and Maurice Clin, Hadrian serves clients such as McKesson, NBC Universal, Francisco Partners, TotalEnergies, Amadeus, Leroy Merlin, and Damen Shipyards. The platform focuses on emulating hacker attack paths to help security teams prioritize risks effectively.
