Great Wall Motor has released the 2027 model year Tank 500, introducing updates to driver-assistance systems, cabin features, and safety. The vehicle retains its existing plug-in hybrid and gasoline powertrain options, with pricing remaining consistent with the August 2025 facelift, ranging from ¥335 000 to ¥375 000.
The new Hi4-T and Hi4-Z Zhixiang editions are equipped with the Coffee Pilot 4 system, utilizing Nvidia Thor-U chips with 700 TOPS of computing power and LiDAR technology. These versions support urban and highway navigation on autopilot, parking assistance, and voice controls. In contrast, the base Hi4-T and 3.0T gasoline models utilize the Coffee Pilot 2 system without LiDAR.
Interior enhancements for the SUV include dual 15.6-inch displays, a 22-speaker audio setup, power-folding front leg rests, and rear tray tables. The plug-in hybrid powertrains continue to offer the same specifications: the Hi4-T features a 37.1-kWh battery with a 110-kilometer WLTC range, while the Hi4-Z uses a 59.05-kWh battery providing a 201-kilometer WLTC range.
The update arrives as the Tank brand experiences a decline in market performance. September sales for the brand dropped 29.21 percent year-on-year to 15 178 units. Cumulative sales for the first nine months of the year reached 142 796 vehicles, representing a 13.53 percent decrease compared to the same period in the previous year.
