Dong Mingzhu, chairwoman of Gree Electric Appliances and head of the Gree Technical School, delivered the inaugural lecture to the school's first cohort of students on October 19. During the event, she emphasized that personal value is defined by spirit rather than age, noting her own active schedule of traveling across four provinces in three days.

The Gree Technical School received over 8,000 applications for its first enrollment cycle, with only 300 students ultimately selected. The curriculum is divided into three departments: Intelligent Manufacturing, Electrical Technology, and Information Technology, covering nine practical majors such as mold manufacturing and IoT application technology.

The school's programs are aligned with the talent requirements of Gree Electric. Annual tuition fees range from ¥9,000 to ¥15,000. Graduates are granted priority for internships and employment opportunities within Gree Electric and its associated supply chain companies.
