GoSun, based in Ohio, has introduced the Moonrider 27 All-Electric Solar Tractor, developed in partnership with the Indian brand Moonrider. The vehicle is equipped with a 20 kW electric motor, providing approximately 27 horsepower, and features all-wheel drive for improved traction on various terrains.

The tractor is powered by a 24 kWh LFP battery pack, designed to support up to five hours of continuous operation. For versatility in agricultural tasks, the machine includes a 540 rpm mechanical power take-off at the rear, allowing compatibility with standard farm implements like mowers and tillers.

Charging options for the tractor include a standard 220/240V AC L2 connector or an optional 1.1 kW integrated solar array. According to the company, the solar system can provide about 1.5 hours of additional runtime during a sunny day, potentially reducing the frequency of grid-based charging.
