Google has announced the launch of its new Googlebook laptop lineup, with preorders starting today. The devices will be available in stores on October 4 in the US, followed by a release on October 5 in Canada, the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, and Australia. Prices for the five models start at $899.

The laptops feature OLED screens, metal chassis, and a lid-mounted Glowbar. Internally, the machines are powered by Snapdragon X Elite or Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chips, both supporting 45 TOPS of AI performance. Standard configurations include 16GB of RAM, with 32GB options available for some models.

Googlebooks run a software stack shared with Android, allowing native execution of Android apps. Features like Cast My Apps and Continue On enable integration with Android phones. The devices also include Gemini-powered Magic Pointer, the Rambler voice input tool, and Antigravity agents for development tasks.

Every purchase includes a one-year subscription to Google AI Pro, which provides 5TB of Google Drive storage and increased Gemini usage limits, alongside a one-year subscription to GeForce Now. The laptops will be sold through the Google Store, Best Buy, and other select retail partners.
