Google Public Sector introduced Gemini for Government Services on October 20, 2026, at its Public Sector Summit in Washington, D.C. The platform is currently in private preview, with the US Department of Health and Human Services and the State of Missouri serving as early testers.

The suite includes prebuilt AI skills for regulatory research, FOIA compliance, and expense auditing. It features connectors for existing software systems from Microsoft, Salesforce, Oracle, and Google Workspace, allowing integration without data migration.

The platform is designed to meet FedRAMP High and HIPAA security standards. Consulting partners for the launch include Accenture Federal Services and Deloitte, with the initiative led by Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian and Google Public Sector CEO Karen Dahut.

A discounted Gemini access program for agencies, managed through the GSA’s OneGov program, is scheduled to conclude on November 15, 2026. Google has not yet announced a date for the general availability of the new government-focused platform.
