General Motors has integrated Apple Wallet car key support into select Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC vehicle models. The feature, which became active last month, allows users to unlock and start their vehicles using a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch.
The digital key functionality enables automatic locking and unlocking as the driver approaches or leaves the vehicle. Additionally, users can manage trunk access and climate control settings directly through the Apple Wallet application.
GM also supports digital keys for Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices. This expansion follows earlier reports from February regarding the implementation of similar Apple car key features for Toyota vehicles.
