San Francisco-based startup Ghost has exited stealth mode, securing $11 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from institutional investors including Abstract Ventures, Audacious Ventures, SV Angel, and Nova.

The company also received backing from individual investors, such as Cory Levy, Max Mullen, Vincent Weisser, Zach Sims, and Maria Davidson. The startup focuses on providing hardware for personal AI that operates locally rather than on cloud infrastructure.

The flagship product, Core, is a dedicated AI computer priced at $3,499. It features an NVIDIA RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell GPU with 24 GB of GDDR7 memory and 64 GB of DDR5 RAM. The device is designed to function without recurring subscription fees.

Core is capable of running inference locally on models such as Qwen 3.8-27B and Gemma 4-31B. The system connects to various applications and smart devices to perform tasks continuously, ensuring that users maintain full ownership of their models and data.
