Geely has scheduled the official debut of the updated Galaxy E5 electric crossover for September 23. The vehicle will transition to an 800-volt architecture and feature a rear-wheel-drive platform equipped with the Thunder 16-in-1 system. The single electric motor will deliver 333 horsepower, a significant increase from previous iterations.
The updated model introduces the Qianli Haohan H5 driver assistance suite, which incorporates a roof-mounted lidar. Additional cameras have been integrated into the front fenders and the trunk lid to enhance environmental perception. These hardware upgrades are designed to support more advanced autonomous driving capabilities.
The exterior design features a revised front bumper, new decorative elements, and an active air intake grille. Notably, the vehicle will now use standard door handles instead of the previous retractable ones. The dimensions remain 4636 by 1920 by 1670 millimeters, with a wheelbase of 2750 millimeters.
Relocating the electric motor to the rear axle has enabled the addition of a front trunk. The suspension configuration remains unchanged, utilizing front MacPherson struts and a rear multi-link setup. Customers will have the option to choose between 18-inch and 19-inch wheels with corresponding tire sizes of 225/55 R18 and 235/50 R19.
