Geely plans to expand its Russian lineup with an all-wheel-drive version of the EX5 EM-i hybrid. Currently, the model is available in Russia only with front-wheel drive, priced at 3.975 ₽ million. Industry sources suggest the new variant could reach the market by the end of 2026.
The existing front-wheel-drive model features a 99 hp gasoline engine paired with a 218 hp electric motor and an 18.4 kWh battery. The upcoming AWD version is expected to mirror the configuration launched in Australia, which adds a 109 hp rear electric motor. This upgrade reduces the 0-100 km/h acceleration time from 8.1 to 6.3 seconds.
The Australian specification of the AWD model includes a larger 29.8 kWh battery, offering an electric-only range of 130 km and a total range of 1065 km. While these specifications are being considered, it remains unconfirmed if the Russian market will receive the exact same hardware configuration.
Preliminary estimates place the price of the all-wheel-drive Geely EX5 EM-i in the range of 4.5 ₽–4.7 million. This expansion aligns with Geely's broader growth strategy in Russia, where the company has raised its annual sales target to approximately 70 000 vehicles, driven largely by demand for hybrid and electric models.
