Rokid has partnered with Tencent Mobility Services to launch an AI-powered ride-hailing feature for its smart glasses. This integration allows users to request rides entirely through voice commands, eliminating the need to interact with a smartphone interface.

The system utilizes an Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol to connect the Rokid glasses with Tencent’s mobility platform. Rokid handles user intent recognition and interaction, while Tencent provides the backend services for vehicle location, price estimation, and booking.

Users can perform the entire ride-hailing process, including destination selection, vehicle tracking, and payment, via the glasses. The display provides real-time updates on vehicle information and estimated arrival times directly in the user's field of view.

While the glasses manage standard ride requests, smartphones remain the primary interface for complex tasks such as changing destinations, canceling orders, or handling payment exceptions. Rokid emphasizes that the glasses are designed to complement mobile devices rather than replace them.
