FUSE, a venture capital firm founded in 2020, has expanded its investment focus beyond software companies in Seattle to include the space industry. The firm has now completed eight space-related investments, with a total commitment exceeding $45 million.

The firm's space portfolio currently accounts for 25% of its overall investment activity. This strategy began in January 2024 when FUSE led a $6 million seed round for Quindar, a company specializing in mission management software for spacecraft.

Recent additions to the FUSE portfolio include Pluto Aerospace, a reusable launch company based in Indiana, and Mantis Space Systems, a startup focused on power-beaming technology. The firm also counts Portal Space Systems and Starcloud among its investments.

To support its portfolio companies, FUSE emphasizes building a cohesive ecosystem where startups can collaborate and share resources. The firm is scheduled to host its annual Seattle Space Superiority Summit next month to further connect regional industry leaders.
