Foton plans to showcase its new Cavan Beacon platform for heavy-duty trucks at the IAA Transportation exhibition in Hanover, scheduled for 15–20 September 2026. The platform supports both battery-electric and hydrogen-powered drivetrains, with 40-tonne models already confirmed for the event.

The company will present seven new-energy vehicle models and six proprietary core components. This exhibition serves as a strategic move to expand Foton's footprint in Europe, where its Cavan brand is already active in 15 countries. Foton aims to establish a local presence rather than acting solely as an importer.

To support its European operations, Foton has launched a regional spare parts distribution centre in Unna, Germany. Globally, the manufacturer maintains 32 production sites, 18 spare parts centres, 1,200 sales locations, and over 1,500 service points.

Foton is scaling its international logistics through a joint venture with Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers, established this spring. Between January and August 2026, the company exported approximately 149 000 vehicles, marking a 44.3 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2025.
