Ford is discontinuing the Track Pack Special Edition for the 2027 Mustang Dark Horse SC. This package, which cost $31 980, was the most expensive and exclusive configuration available for the 2026 model year. It was limited to the 970A High Package and included cosmetic and mechanical upgrades such as carbon-ceramic brakes with red calipers, a black-painted roof, and 3D-printed titanium shift components.
The removal of this option lowers the maximum price point for the model range. Previously, a fully equipped 2026 Dark Horse SC with the Track Pack could reach $175 965. The base price for the standard Dark Horse SC starts at $108 485, excluding destination and delivery fees. Ford has not disclosed specific production numbers for the 2026 edition.
For the 2027 model year, Ford is expanding the lineup by introducing a convertible version of the Dark Horse SC. This addition shifts the vehicle's market positioning, as the model was previously marketed primarily as a track-focused car. Buyers seeking the specific aesthetic and materials of the discontinued 2026 Track Pack must now rely on existing inventory.
