Flux Cyber Inc. has updated its engineering intelligence platform with new tools designed to measure the return on investment for AI-driven software development. The company aims to move beyond traditional metrics like sprint velocity and token counts, which it argues fail to reflect actual delivery outcomes.
The platform now addresses five specific blind spots through automated code analysis. These include verifying actual progress versus activity, monitoring code review bottlenecks, tracking audit trails, managing continuous security quality, and categorizing engineering efforts for financial reporting.
The new financial feature, Defensible Spend, categorizes work into operational and capitalizable tasks. This allows engineering leaders to justify spending decisions and support research and development tax credit claims without relying on token usage metrics.
Flux Cyber Inc. is a venture-backed startup. In June, the company secured $5 million in a funding round led by Calibrate Ventures, with participation from True Ventures and Glasswing Ventures.
