Mozilla has released the stable version 159.0 of the Firefox browser, which is now available for Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile platforms. Alongside this release, the company updated its long-term support versions to 153.6.0 and 115.44.0.

The update addresses 167 security vulnerabilities, 108 of which are classified as high-risk. Most of these issues relate to memory management, including buffer overflows and use-after-free defects. Users are urged to upgrade to the latest version immediately.

New features include a default 'Saved Passwords' button in the sidebar for quicker access to login credentials. On macOS, the browser now utilizes the native system share picker, allowing users to share page previews and multiple tabs directly with contacts.

A new Beta feature for Smart Window chat, accessible via the /watch command, monitors web pages for price drops or restocks with desktop notifications. This functionality is currently limited to users in the United States, Canada, and France.

Developers gain support for scroll-driven animations with new CSS properties such as animation-timeline and scroll-timeline. Additionally, the browser now supports independent custom element registries to prevent naming conflicts between different frontend libraries.
