Pavle Krivokuća, product manager at Fireblocks, identifies two main obstacles to Travel Rule compliance on public blockchains: the lack of interoperability between service providers and the fragmentation of global regulatory requirements.
To address these challenges, Fireblocks has integrated multiple service providers into its platform, including Notabene, Sumsub, GTR, and TRUST. This approach allows institutions to manage compliance policies and exchange transaction data without relying on a single network.
The platform features automated transaction screening, including timeout settings of up to 1.5 hours for missing messages. In February 2026, Fireblocks partnered with Sumsub to launch a real-time, encrypted data exchange system.
This partnership covers more than 1,800 virtual asset service providers (VASPs) and focuses on stablecoin transfers, which are frequently used for cross-border payments and settlements.
