ETHGas, founded by Kevin Lepsoe, provides a platform for institutions to reserve Ethereum blockspace and perform compliance screening. The service operates as a layer on top of the existing Ethereum protocol without modifying the base chain.

The platform offers two primary mechanisms for guaranteed transaction inclusion: whole-block commitments and inclusion preconfirmations. By dividing 12-second blocks into sub-blocks, the system delivers validator-signed preconfirmations in approximately 50ms.

A core component is the Policy Engine, which conducts sanctions screening and jurisdictional checks during block construction. This allows regulated entities to filter transactions before they are finalized on the blockchain.

The company has secured over $800 million in commitments for blockspace reservations. In April 2026, ETHGas entered a three-year, $3 billion agreement with ether.fi to enhance institutional liquidity.

ETHGas raised a $12 million seed round in December 2025, led by Polychain Capital. The firm recently conducted an institutional roadshow in APAC cities, including Tokyo, Seoul, and Singapore, throughout September and October 2026.
