Fhenix has launched its CoFHE coprocessor on the Ethereum and Arbitrum mainnets as of October 21, 2026. The technology enables smart contracts to perform computations on encrypted balances and positions while remaining compatible with existing EVM infrastructure.
Developers can integrate the coprocessor using a single line of Solidity code. The system processes data off-chain and returns encrypted results to the host network. Additionally, Fhenix introduced a Dual-Mode Token Standard that allows users to switch between public and private balances without using bridges.
The mainnet launch is currently permissioned, requiring contracts to be added to an allowlist. Five retail-focused decentralized applications were selected from approximately 60 candidates to participate in the initial rollout. Testnets remain open to all users.
According to research presented at ACM CCS 2025, the threshold decryption method provides roughly 20,000 times higher throughput and up to 37 times lower latency compared to traditional methods. The approach distributes decryption power among multiple parties.
Fhenix previously pivoted from an FHE rollup architecture to a modular coprocessor model. In July 2026, the company acquired the Sunscreen team. The project raised a total of $22 million in seed and Series A funding rounds in 2023.
