Decentralized perpetuals exchange Extended is migrating its settlement layer from Starknet to Arc, a Layer 1 blockchain developed by Circle. The transition is set to commence on October 22, 2026, at 13:00 UTC.
Trading on the platform will remain active during the migration, though deposits and withdrawals will be paused for up to two hours. Extended currently manages approximately $117.7 million in total value locked.
Users holding USDT or wBTC must convert their assets to USDC or cirBTC at a 1:1 ratio, or withdraw them, by the October 21, 2026, deadline. These conversions include a 0.50% premium.
Balances in ETH will be automatically converted to wETH at a 1:1 ratio. The move to Arc aims to leverage sub-second finality and predictable transaction fees to attract institutional investors.
Circle launched the Arc mainnet on September 16, 2026, featuring a validator set that includes BlackRock and Visa. The migration aligns Extended with the native ecosystem of the USDC stablecoin.
