EV Realty has acquired an industrial property in Ontario, California, to develop a high-power charging hub for heavy-duty electric vehicle fleets. The site is located on Philadelphia Street, near the SR-60 and I-15 freeways, and serves logistics operations connected to the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
The facility is situated three miles from Ontario International Airport. EV Realty collaborated with Southern California Edison to secure 9 MW of grid power for the project. Construction at the new location is scheduled to begin in 2027.
The company recently appointed Henrik Holland, a former executive at Prologis and Shell, as its new President. EV Realty previously opened a 9 MW charging depot in San Bernardino in April and intends to start construction on another site in Torrance later this year.
Once the Ontario project is operational, EV Realty expects to reach a total simultaneous charging capacity of 27 MW across its network in the ports and the Inland Empire region.
