Temporal, a research and development firm focused on the Solana blockchain, has appointed Michael Marcantonio as its new CEO. The appointment became effective around October 27, 2026. Marcantonio previously led the DeFi division at Galaxy Digital and possesses experience in onchain trading, corporate strategy, and mergers and acquisitions.
The company maintains three primary infrastructure products: the Harmonic block-building client, the Humidifi trading venue, and the Nozomi execution layer. Harmonic currently accounts for over 30% of Solana’s validator stake, positioning it as a competitor to Jito. Humidifi, a proprietary automated market maker, has recorded monthly trading volumes reaching tens of billions of dollars.
Marcantonio aims to scale Temporal to compete with traditional financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley. The company intends to leverage its existing infrastructure to reengineer the global financial system. The leadership change is described by the firm as a strategic move to accelerate its growth phase.
